BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (May 11, 2015) – Brookwood Village, a dynamic mixed-use development located in the affluent Mountain Brook and Homewood area of Birmingham, Alabama, today announced that the shopping center would welcome Verizon Wireless to its growing retailer roster.    

Verizon Wireless is an innovative wireless communications company that connects people and businesses with the most advanced wireless technology and service available.  The company launched the nation’s first 3G wireless broadband network and was also the first tier-one wireless provider in the nation to build and operate a 4G LTE network.  Verizon Wireless is wholly owned by Verizon Communications Inc., and is headquartered in Basking Ridge, N.J.

Verizon Wireless will occupy the 4,738-square-foot, free-standing, single-story building, formerly occupied by Applebee’s Grill & Bar, located northwest of the Brookwood Center office building.  It is anticipated that Verizon Wireless will open for business in late fall 2015.
